Participate

There are a couple of ways that you can participate in Insert ____ Here!

Galleries/Museums/Schools/Organizations

Host the Insert ____ Here project. The management of the process can be minimal or slightly more involved, depending on your resources:

  1. Print & provide “Insert ____ Here” signs for participants, or host a stencil-making event.
  2. Print (laminate) & provide Idea Generators for participants.
  3. (optional) Provide or manage uploading of images.
  4. (optional) Connect with local designers/artists to create the remediation images or provide tools for participants to do remediation drawings onsite.
  5. (optional) Host slideshow/photoshow of remediation images.

This is a great project to promote local action in the face of global issues. It promote learning, creative thinking and visioning. It is a optimistic look at the opportunities for positive change.

Artists/Designers/Illustrators

Become part of the global network of artists working on the remediation issues. You can participate as much or as little as you like, and the work should reflect your own style. To participate:

  1. Contact me at eve at insert-here dot org, just to let me know you are going to participate, include your contact info (name, company name if appropriate, website or other contact info) so that I can include your information on the site and all materials that might include your images).
  2. Join the Flickr group “Insert Here”: http://flickr.com/groups/722815@N22/
  3. Select an image you would like to add remediation to, make a note in the comments that you are adding the remediation (so the work isn’t duplicated).
  4. Work your magic!
  5. Re-upload the image to the Flickr group. (I am subscribed to the feed so that I will know when new images are added and will post them to the website!)
