With a long low flat roof, the school is a perfect location for a green roof. In addition to reducing energy costs (it keeps the building cool in summer and warm in winter) the green roof will make the roof itself last longer, it cleans the air and rain water, absorbs rain water and provides habitat for wildlife.
If planted with natives, it can help propagate.
